Marike Wulsten

I met Marike for the first time at one of the Berlin Meetups in August 2019. That meeting was at a place called The Castle Bar located at Frankfurter Tor 7 (Friedrichshain). At that time, Marike was just 24 year old. As a young German woman who grew up in Warnemünde (Located in northern Germany), She wanted to know more about the city of Berlin. She actually had a reason to visit because her sister is living in the city for a long time. Like a lot of youngsters, Marike found the city to be very appealing due to the fact that it offers lots of opportunities for the future.

I really liked the conversations with Marike because they brought me back in time. Marike is a young German woman with elegance, and she also has a kind heart.  On April 24, 2020 we met again after she arrived in Berlin and then we visited Tempelhofer Feld (also known as Tempelhof park). When I met her again I barely recognized her since she became so mature (I still remember the chocolate we got together from Edeka. It was a Ritter Sport Dark Chocolate with Marzipan :-)).

Tempelhof park

As for Tempelhofer Feld - It actually Opened to the public in the year 2010 and it is one of the most popular parks in Berlin (By the way my favorite one). Tempelhofer Feld has an amazing atmosphere and is one of the great locations for skaters, runners, cyclers and picnic lovers. Wandering around the park you'll be able to see the old, original preserved structures and aircrafts from the 20th century (second world war). This park is a historic area for many Berliners and they want to keep the park in one piece as a natural field.
